PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data managing device capable of preserving and restoring data for each specified data unit. SOLUTION: Based on serial information preset by a serial information holding part 14, a preserving processing part 12 extracts a specified object set to become a preserving object from a database(DB) 16 through a DB control part 11, exports it to an external file 17 and preserves it. In cooperation with the DB control part 11 and an object ID(OID) managing part 15, a restoring processing part 13 imports the object set preserved in the external file 17 to the DB 16, reflects it and restores the object set at the time point of preservation. In order to maintain consistency in the restoring processing of the object set, the OID managing part 16 manages the former OID of the object at the time point of preserving in the external file 17 and a new OID at the time point of restoring the DB 16 while making them correspondent.
