AN ADHESIVE HAVING HIGH CONTENTS OF SOLID

PURPOSE: Polychloroprene having high contents of solid and acetone is provided which can be differentiated for spraying, and the amount of evaporation and spraying of the solvent is reduced. CONSTITUTION: The contact adhesive is produced by mixing a solvent and a rubber blend or resin, then processing the solvent/rubber/resin blend until the solid content becomes 30wt.% or more and the desired viscosity is obtained. The desired viscosity of the contact adhesive is that much to allow the adhesive having 30wt.% of solid content differentiate. The adhesive of high solid/high acetone contents is produced from a mixture of polychloroprene or its derivatives and acetone, and is possible to provide bigger adhesive area per gallon so that the solvent is less evaporated and the concentration of hazardous air pollutants(HAP) and volatile organic compound(VOC) is also reduced.
