PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming edge capable of preventing, using simple control, the fear of defective image density when the amount of charge on a toner becomes high while the moisture of recording paper is adjusted. SOLUTION: A toner charged to the same polarity as an electrostatic latent image on a photoconductor drum 11 is made to cling to the electrostatic latent image and reversely developed by a developing unit 14. With recording paper 15 interposed on the toner image developed, a charge of polarity opposite to that of charge on the toner is imparted to the recording paper 15 by a transfer unit 16 to transfer the toner image onto the recording paper 15. The toner density within the developing unit 14 is detected by a toner density sensor 17. When the toner density detected becomes smaller than a predetermined value, the transfer current of the transfer unit 16 is charged to a set value higher than a normal value. |
