PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient instantaneous heating according to the size or thickness of transfer material and perform an instantaneous heating suited to the state of a toner image by performing the heating of a heat fixing rotating member by the heating of a heat absorbing layer. SOLUTION: The optical beam emitted from a heat ray emitting member 310 on the receipt of the detection timing from a photocoupler as transfer material passing detecting means is converged by a collimator lens 311, and deflected and scanned by a polygonal mirror 312 rotating in the arrowed direction. It scans a heat absorbing layer 171b on the surface of a first heat fixing roller 17a through an fθlens 313 and a cylindrical lens 314, and heats the first heat fixing roller 17a. The heat absorptivity of the heat absorbing layer 171b is set to about 100% so that the heat ray emitted from the heat ray emitting member 310 is perfectly absorbed within the first heat fixing roller 17a and a second heat fixing roller, whereby a heat fixing rotating member capable of suitable instantaneous heating is formed. |
