PURPOSE: A plane display apparatus is provided to achieve a thinner film as a liquid crystal display(LCD). CONSTITUTION: A plane display apparatus comprises: a display panel(100) which contains an electrode substrate including multiple horizontal pixel lines wherein multiple display pixels are arrayed; a driving circuit substrate(500) which supplies a driving signal for the electrode substrate of the display panel(100); a connection part connecting electrically the electrode substrate and the driving circuit substrate(500); a light plating board(821) which is arranged at the reverse side of the display panel(100); and a surface light source part(800) including a cylindrical light source(811) arranged so that a section of the light plating board(821) is used as an incident section.
