PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a UV-absorbing heat shrinkable label which shows an enough UV absorbing effect and which suppresses bleedout of the UV absorbent to prevent contamination on the label surface or a label producing facility. SOLUTION: This UV-absorbing heat shrinkable label 1 is a heat shrinkable label produced by forming a printed layer on at least one surface of a base film 2 of a polystyrene resin, a polyester resin or the like. The base film 2 consists of an intermediate layer 4 containing a UV absorbent and surface layers 5 on both faces of the intermediate layer. The total thickness of the base film is about 20 to 100μm, and each surface layer has about 1.5 to 15μm thickness. The amt. of the UV absorbent in the intermediate layer is, for example, about 0.1 to 5 wt.%.
