PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera provided with a sheath like slide cover by which a film cartridge can be loaded/unloaded without moving or detaching the slide cover when the camera is not used. SOLUTION: This camera 1 is provided with the sheath-like slide cover 2 moved with respect to a camera body 3 between a camera nonuse position for covering at least a lens barrel 4, a finder objective lens window 11, a finder eyepiece window and a battery chamber cover 7 for opening/closing a battery chamber and a camera use position for exposing the lens barrel 4, the finder objective lens window 11, the finder eyepiece window and the battery chamber cover 7. A cartridge chamber cover 8 for opening/closing a film cartridge chamber in which the film cartridge is loaded is provided at the part to be always exposed regardlessly of the position of the slide cover 2, of the camera body 3.
