PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep food warm at a proper temperature after cooking by providing a heating body provided with multiple vertical through holes carrying catalysts on their surfaces and a reactant including a chemical constituent combined with oxygen in the atmosphere so as to generate heat of oxidation in a heat reserving means. SOLUTION: A package 32 wrapping a solid reactant 30 with a film 31 is held in a container 27. When the reactant 30 vaporizes so as to expand the film 31, a breaking means 33 pierces the film 31 to open it, so that a vaporizable constituent in the reactant 30 is emitted to the inside of a lower pipe part 6b. The reactant 30 includes a chemical constituent vaporizing from a starting material while decomposing and reacting with oxygen in the atmosphere in the presence of a catalyst arranged in a heating body 12 so as to generate heat of oxidation. In a heat reserving means constructed so as to increase a temperature of the heating body 12 by the heat of oxidation for heating, a communication passage 35 leading the vaporizable constituent from the reactant 30 to the heating body 12 and multiple through holes 36 carrying catalysts on their surfaces are arranged.
