PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching device for an equipment supporting arm to a desk top which can easily attach such accessory equipment as a flat display, a task light, a telephone table, and the like. SOLUTION: For fastening from an upper surface of a top plate as a substitute for conventional fastening from a lower surface thereof, this device comprises a base plate 1 which has a downwardly projecting bent part 1b at a base end side 1a positioned being engaged with an edge of a desk top 5 and on which a pillar 2 of an arm 3 is stood, a pair of clamp plates 4, 4 formed of an upper piece 4a, a side piece 4b, and a lower piece 4c in side view U-shape such that the clamp plates 4, 4 are engaged with the edge of the desk top 5 including the base plate 1 at the base end side 1a, and a fastening bolt 7 which clamps the desk top 5 via the base plate 1 at the lower piece 4c of the clamp plate 4 by screwing the fastening bolt 7 into a screw hole 6 in the upper piece 4a of the clamp plate 4.
