PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper device for base-isolated structure used with a base isolation device which protects a building from the vibration of an earthquake. SOLUTION: The arrangement includes one stopper member 3 fixed to either the applicable structure or the ground and another stopper member 2 which is fixed to either the ground or the construction and abuts to the stopper member 3, wherein the stopper member 3 is furnished at the inside with a ring- shaped opening, and shock absorbing member 6/7 consisting of rubber or resilient foaming substance is fixed to at least either of the inner surface to form the opening and the outer surface of the stopper member 2, and the distance from the inner surface of the stopper member 3 to the outer surface of the shock absorbing member 6 fixed to the outer surface of the stopper member 2 or the distance from the shock absorbing member 7 fixed to the inner surface of the stopper member 3 to the outer surface of the stopper member 2 is made some shorter than approx. half the max. allowable length of the amplitude stroke of the seismic tremors to be base isolated by this base isolation device.
