PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the improvement of durability by enhancing the cooling/ heat radiating efficiency of an impact mechanism part in an impact tool. SOLUTION: It is so constituted that an air flow flowing out of the draft window 7 of a crankcase 5, is straightened by ribs 13 laid along the tool axial direction in such a way that a cylinder case 8 which is heated due to the change in pressure in the inside of an impact mechanism part in particular while an impact tool main body is in use so as to be hot, is cooled by the aforesaid air flow, wherein ribs 13 acting as each cooling/heat radiating fin, are lined up over both the side surfaces of a cylinder case 8 fixed to the crankcase 5 provided for the draft window 7.
