PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber-reinforcing material having both high shear strength and interlaminar debonding resistance. SOLUTION: This reinforcing material for composite members is such one as to have fibrous base bodies 22, 23 reinforced by forming stitches 27.1, 27.2; 30.1, 30.2; 33.1, 33.2; 36.1; 36.2 with sewing threads so as to penetrate through this reinforcing material; wherein it is favorable that the above stitches are inclined and slantly penetrate through the fibrous base bodies at an angle of inclination of <=30 deg. and the fibrous base bodies are composed of the layers of yarns 22, 23 forming meshes 24 through which the stitches pass crossedly.
