PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device that can be miniaturized and reduced in weight without impairing the strength and rigidity of lock mechanism. SOLUTION: Lock mechanism 40 maintaining a brake lever 30 in a raised state comprises a claw member 41 pivotally supported in an oscillatory manner to the brake lever 30, and a guide groove 25 provided at a base member 20. The oscillating end of the claw member 41 is bent sideways to form an engaging part. An engaged part 26 into which the engaging part of the claw member 41 is fitted near the maximum stroke of the brake lever 30 put in the raised state so as to restrain the claw member 41 and the brake lever 30 in this position is formed on one end side of the guide groove 25.
