PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance by reducing a gap between a recessed part and an operation knob by forming a guide part at the center of a recessed part for storing an operation knob in the body of an outer handle fitted to an outer plate of a door of an automobile, and forming a part to be guided by the guide part on the operation knob. SOLUTION: An outer handle device provided on the back door of an automobile is formed by a body 2 fitted to an outer plate 1 of a door and an operation knob 3 stored in a recessed part 4 of the body 2. The operation knob 3 is shaped substantially like a rectangular frame and provided with an opening part formed in the center, and the locking projection of a cylinder lock 9 is locked in locking recessed parts of a pair of regulating pieces extended in the opposite positions of an inner edges. A cylindrical part to be guided where the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical guide part 5 projected at the center of the recessed part 4 of the body 2 is slid is formed in the periphery of the opening of the operation knob 3. Thus, a gap between the recessed part 4 and the operation knob 3 is reduced to improve the appearance. |
