PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scaffold diagonal bar used as a reference of the installation of a pair of building frames to be first installed in the case of constructing a continuously assembled prefabricated scaffolding using a plurality of members or a timbering. SOLUTION: Central parts of a pair of poles 3, 3 stretchably formed by inserting through an inner member 2 from both the ends of an outer member 1 are rotatably fastened with a center pin 4 and thumbscrews 5, 5 are provided near each end of the outer member 1, and the surface of the inner member 2 is provided with a scale 6 and its end is provided with a shackle 7, and the poles 3, 3 are composed so that their length may be previously controlled to optional fixed length. The shackles 7, 7... provided at the end of the inner member 2 are severally fastened to four column bodies 101, 101... of a pair of installed building frames and are used as a reference of the istallation of the building frame.
