PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst combustion heating device, safe and high in a heat exchanging efficiency by a method wherein the amount of heat generation due to catalyst reaction is regulated optimally to improve heat transfer performance to fluid to be heated and prevent the over-heating of members, such as fins, tubes or the like. SOLUTION: A multitude of tubes 2, whose inside is utilized for the passage of fluid to be heated, are arranged so as to be layered in a fuel gas flow passage 11 provided in a vessel 1. The advancing direction of the fluid to be heated is reverse to that of fuel gas. The amount of heat generation in the upstream side of the fuel gas flow passage 11 is controlled optimally by a method wherein an oxidizing catalyst layer is formed directly on the outer surface of a tube 2 in the layer 2A of uppermost upstream of the fuel gas flow passage 11, in which the fluid to be heated is changed into gas state, while the oxidizing catalyst layer is formed on the outer surface of fins 21, connected to the outer periphery of the tube 2, in the downstream side of layers 2B-2E, whereat the fluid to be heated is liquid state or boiling state.
|
