PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller-equipped cam follower for a valve system of internal combustion engine, in which a roller shaft can be fixed simply to the supporting wall of the cam follower body without using any particular caulking arrangement and the inertial mass of the free end of the supporting wall is reduced. SOLUTION: At the inner surface of a through-hole 9b in one supporting wall Wb, a first groove g1 in C-form is formed extending in the circumferential direction of the through-hole 9b, while a second groove g2 in C-form mating with the first groove g1 is formed at the outer surface of one end 7b of a roller shaft 7, and in these grooves g1 and g2, a C-form resilient fixture L is fitted astride the inner surfaces of the two grooves, wherein the region X of the inner surface of the through-hole 9b in the wall Wb which is pinched by the two ends of the first groove g1 is arranged as mating with the free end of the wall Wb.
