PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel support device to solve a problem point in the case of a conventional machine type and improve stability and comfort of a reach forklift. SOLUTION: A rear wheel support device 1 supports the drive wheel 2 and the caster wheel 3 of a reach forklift. This device comprises a first cylinder 51 to support the drive wheel 2, a second cylinder 52 to support the caster wheel 3, and a hydraulic circuit to control the cylinders. The hydraulic circuit is provided with a lock means to cut off inflow and outflow of oil for the first and second cylinders 51 and 52, a balance means to control a pressure difference between the first and second cylinders 51 and 52 to a value lower than a given value, and a pressure control means to maintain the pressure of the first cylinder 51 to a value within an optimum load range.
