PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet head in which a metal is not deposited in ink even when the metallic material is used for a pressure chamber and a liquid chamber, and which exhibits a superior image quality and is manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The ink-jet head comprises a single or a plurality of nozzles 9 for discharging ink, pressure chambers 7 corresponding to the nozzles respectively, a diaphragm 3 constituting at least one wall of the pressure chambers, a driving means for deforming the diaphragm 3, and a common ink chamber 10 for supplying ink to the pressure chambers. The driving means consists of an electrode which deforms the diaphragm 3 by a static electricity. A front face of the pressure chamber 7 of a member including silicon constituting the diaphragm and at least one of Fe and Ni is coated with at least one or more layers of a metal, e.g. gold.
