PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the housing of plural recording media in a small casing and also to attain the operation of inserting/ejecting the recording media one by one. SOLUTION: A stocker 23 capable of housing plural CDs 24 is arranged in the casing 22 of the CD reproducing device 21. A transporting mechanism 34 and a PU unit 25 are arranged between an inserting/ejecting port 33 of a front panel 32 and the stocker 23. By a movement mechanism 26, the housing position in the stocker 23 is selected and the whole stocker 23 is displaced with the elevating/ejecting operation so that the housing position attains the specified height. The stocker 23 is vertically divided by a dividing mechanism 28 for the housing position to make the space. The CD 24 inserted from the inserting/ejecting port 33 is mounted on the PU unit 25, and the PU unit 25 is moved to the space between the divided stockers 23 so that the CD 24 is reproduced as it is or housed in the stocker 23.
