PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor of maintenance of a device, to fix a spring-out length of a paper money and to attain cost reduction of the device. SOLUTION: A paper money paying part 400a equipped with a carrier means 426 which press contacts the paper money and carries it in a money paying direction is equipped with a lever 427 energized so that it can protrude in a direction of a paper opposite to its contact surface from a position contacting the paper money surface when the paper money moves only for a specified distance in the money paying direction and a detection means 429 which detects protrusion of the lever 427 and the carrier means 426 is made to stop by the detection means 429 detecting the protrusion of the lever 427.
