A timer drive unit consists of a casing 10 having three compartments housing respectively the interdigitated stator 1, 1a and rotor 2 assembly of a single phase synchronous motor, the core 5 and coil 4 field assembly of the motor and the reduction gearing 8. The stator poles 1, la are magnetically connected to core 5 by flanges 6, 7, one of which forms a lid of the casing and the other the partition between the stator compartment and the reduction gearing compartment. The rotor 2, which may be a ferrite magnet, drives the output pinion through gearing 8. |
