PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically update an information dial service menu that is previously stored with no user's operation required by deciding whether the information dial service menu should be updated or not based on the signal received by a receiving means with respect to an update inquiry signal. SOLUTION: When a power supply is turned on at a portable terminal, the updated history information, i.e., the updated date stored in a RAM 19 is sent to a control station via a base station and it is inquired whether the information dial service menu stored in its own device is changed or not. If the update date contained in the received update history information is earlier than that stored in its own device, a communication device sends the data including a new information dial service menu to the portable terminal. The portable terminal extracts the information dial service menu from the received data and writes the extracted new information dial service menu in the RAM 19 to update it.
