PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radiation-sensitive substance and a radiation-sensitive tool that can be used especially for an extremely low-level radiation and can vary sensitivity while indicating a color development change in response to a high-level radiation for accurately and visually grasping a diversified quantity level of radiation being different from a conventional low-sensitivity radiation- sensitive substance that responds to only a high-level radiation, and a radiation detection method utilizing them. SOLUTION: A substance is made of tri-aryl-methane that is dispersed into a medium affecting the structure change of a compound molecule due to the application of radiation and is expressed by an expression. However, A, B, and C surrounded by a circle in the expression indicate a five-membered or six-membered aryl group.
