PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of the size of a solenoid valve. SOLUTION: This solenoid valve comprises a housing 5; yokes 2 and 3 disposed in the housing 5 and having the outside around which a coil 22 is wound; and a plunger 4 coaxially and slidably disposed in the yokes 2 and 3. In the solenoid valve having the plunger 4 variably solid according to an amount of energization to the coil 22, coating treatment is applied on at least either the inner peripheral surfaces of the yokes 2 and 3 or the outer peripheral surface of the plunger 4.
