PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contain multiple information signals in one set information unit and to make the transmission of the information signals to be efficient by compressing information quantity, outputting it by every prescribed information unit, collecting them in a plurality of units and adding one synchronizing signal. SOLUTION: A digital video input signal is inputted to a compression means 4, and information quantity is compressed. Meanwhile, the information quantity of a digital sound input signal is not compressed outputted from a shuffling means 20. The output signals of the compression means 4 and the shuffling means 20 are temporarily accumulated by a synthesis means 21, successively selected, and outputted to an ECC encoder 22 in series. A Reed-Solomon code is added to the output signal of the combining means 21 as an error correction code in the ECC encoder 22. A synchronizing signal addition means 13 collects the plural blocks of inputted output signals from the ECC encoder 22 and outputs signals as a single set information unit which is obtained by adding one synchronizing signal to the plural blocks of video signals to a coaxial cable 6 being a transmission line.
