PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pressure control system for vehicular automatic transmissions that prevents interlocking reliably and has improved responsiveness. SOLUTION: This oil pressure control system comprises a first oil pressure control valve 21 for regulating oil pressure fed to a first engagement element B2, a second oil pressure control valve 20 for regulating oil pressure fed to a second engagement element C3, a third oil pressure control valve 17 for regulating oil pressure fed to a third engagement element B1, a solenoid valve 24 for producing common signal oil pressures activating the first and second oil pressure control valves 21 and 20, and a selector valve 15 interposed in oil passages connecting an oil pressure source and the respective first to third engagement elements B2, C3 and B1 to feed or drain oil pressure to or from the first engagement element B2 or the second and third engagement elements C3 and B1 selectively. The selector valve 15 is disposed on the side near to the oil pressure source of the second and third oil pressure control valves 20 and 17, and the oil passage connecting the selector valve 15 and second oil pressure control valve 20 branches into an oil passage leading to the third oil pressure control valve 17.
