PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the automatic answering telephone system that automatically recognizes a telephone number of a caller and informs a pocket beeper of the telephone number of the caller even when the caller does not manually inform of its own telephone number. SOLUTION: The automatic answering telephone system is provided with a message recording/reproduction section 4, a storage section 5 and a control section 6, and the control section 6 is provided with a reception means that receives data with a caller telephone number sent from an exchange after the polarity inversion of a signal of operations L1, L2, a dial means that makes dialing to a telephone number of a pocket beeper registered in the storage section 5 after the end of speech recording to the message recording/ reproduction section 4, and a transmission means that transmits the caller telephone number to the pocket beeper in dial connection to the pocket beeper. Furthermore, the transmission means transmits a notice message registered in advance in the storage section 5 to the pocket beeper.
