PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small diameter ultrasonic motor having high containability in which an oscillator is supported stably. SOLUTION: A cylindrical oscillator 50 is contained coaxially in a tubular casing 41 of an ultrasonic motor 40 therewith. The oscillator 50 performs bending oscillation with a pair of vertical exciting parts 52, 53 as nodes and are made to rotate about the axis in the bending direction, thus rotatingly driving rotors 46, 47 frictionally by the outer end faces of a pair of driving sections 54, 55. A flexible plate 57, having a plurality of arcuate through-holes between a central part clamped by the opposite exciting parts 52, 53 and the outer circumferential end part, is disposed between the opposite exciting parts 52, 53. Outer circumferential end part of the plate 57 is clamped, from above and below by a step 41a on the inner circumferential surface of the casing 41 and the upper end of a tubular inner casing 41e fitted in the large diameter part 41b on the inner circumferential surface. |
