GESTURE PROCESSING DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm whether the editing processing that is inputted by a gesture is identical with the desired one or not, thus improving the operability of a device. SOLUTION: The locus coordinates that is extracted at gesture command deciding part 36 is collated with a gesture command that is stored in a gesture command table 37, so the gesture command corresponding to the line drawing drawn by the locus coordinates is recognized. This recognized gesture command and the position information on the recognized characters or character strings to be edited which are recognized based on the locus coordinates are given to a text editing part 38. The commands which are recognized by a gesture recognizing means are processed as plural character editing commands when an area is designated by an area designating means and then processed as a single character editing command when no area is designated respectively. When an editing area is designated, only the command that is effective to the area editing is recognized.
