PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary graphical parameters and control parameters (e.g. the thickness and color of fine) by determining how much control or graphical parameters used for a digitizer coordinate input system vary with a wheel which can be rotated on a center shaft with a finger of an operator through the rotation angle of the wheel. SOLUTION: The rotation of the wheel 7 rotates a gear wheel 15 reversely to the wheel 7 and a potentiometer 17 detects how much the gear wheel 15 is rotated. Thus, the degree or quantity of the rotation of the wheel 7 by the user can be determined. The potentiometer 17 cooperates with other circuits in an electronic pen to detect how much the wheel 7 rotates thereafter toward a tablet (or computer) and outputs an electromagnetic signal showing that. With the quantity or degree of the rotation, the degree of adjustments of control or graphical parameters is determined.
