PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling power consumption at a radio base station in a mobile communication system for executing call connections between the radio base station, which operates and manages a radio channel under the control of a mobile exchange, and plural mobile terminals existent in the communication area of the radio base station. SOLUTION: When the level of signals outputted from plural reception circuits 104 and 105 is higher than a certain specified level at the time of receiving call originating signals from mobile terminals through antenna diversities 101 and 102 to the radio base station, the supply of power to the reception circuit excepting for the reception circuit, which outputs a signal at a maximum level, is cut off. When the level of signals outputted from the plural reception circuits is lower than a certain specified level, the supply of power to the reception circuits except for one reception circuit is cut off. Further, when the volume of traffic in the signals outputted from the plural reception circuits is less than a prescribed traffic volume, the supply of power to the reception circuits except for one reception circuit is cut off. |
