PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen redundant areas and to enhance a recording capacity by dividing plural reproduction only tracks into plural first sectors and preliminarily recording a signal having a prescribed format in one sector among sectors and dividing respective plural rewritable tracks into plural sectors and providing a connection zone and making signals including reproduction formats recordable. SOLUTION: A reproduction only area is provided in the inner peripheral part of a disk and the innermost periphery is made to be the same as that of a reproduction only DVD disk and the rewritable area is also made to be the same as the data area of the reproduction only DVD disk. The sector numbers of a control zone are made to be the same as those in the case of the reproduction only DVD disk and the reproducing of a control data signal is made possible by seeking the same sector address. Moreover, a connection zone consisting of dummy data which do not have a sector address for making the movement to the rewritable area smooth and a vacant groove is provided continuously with the reproduction only area.
