PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the maintenance work of a general purpose computer group from SVP of a single general purpose computer. SOLUTION: In the maintaining method of the general purpose computer group consisting of plural general purpose computers 201 and 202 respectively with SVP 203 and 211, SVP 203 is provided with an inter-SVP file transferring means 212 and a means for starting a command through LAN 213. Then, a maintaining procedure is transmitted to SVP of another general purpose computer through the use of the communication path from SVP of an optional general purpose computer in the general purpose computer group and SVP receiving this executes this maintaining procedure based on a starting command from the SVP, thereby this method automatically executes the maintenance work of all the general purpose computers in the general purpose computer group from single SVP. |
