<p>Applies to a pull-off portion of a lid forming part of a quick opening container composed of an integral sheet of metal formed so as to produce a lever in contact with the sheet metal of that lid, the other extremity of the lever forming a ring for insertion of the finger and an anchoring lug integral with the lever proper; the latter incorporates a hinge to pivot at an angle. The edge of the aperture is subject to a compressive force when leverage is applied. Advantages: the pull-off segment cannot break away from the portion to be torn out of the lid.</p> |
