[Also in Division D2] A transfer composition for a transfer-sheet system (see Division D2) comprises a spiritsoluble resin and a spirit-insoluble pigment, and the receptor composition comprises a thermoplastic polyalkylene and alkyl-cellulose or alkyl-hydroxyalkylcellulose. The transfer compositions of the examples comprise: a rosin-maleic adduct esterified with pentaerythritol, ethyl - hydroxyethyl - cellulose, mixed dimethylcyclohexyl adipates, titanium dioxide, finely divided silica, a long-chain amide, polyvinyl-pyrrolidone and 2,6-ditertiarybutylparacresol. That of Example (1) also includes white spirit, carbon black, a dark grey pigment and a deodorant, that of Example (2) isopropyl alcohol, and blue pigments, that of Example (3) isopropanol, carbon black and a dark grey pigment. The receptor composition of Example (5) comprises white spirit, polyethylene, ethyl-hydroxyethyl-cellulose, long chain amides and titanium dioxide, that of Example (4) the same ingredients plus china clay.</p> |
