PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the manual data input process of an engineering intelligent network setting database by selecting an original data base, converting desired data from a binary format to an ASCII format and displaying the desired data. SOLUTION: By a computer program, a user selects an office dependent type database(ODD) relating to a lab and a release. By a block 910, the user specifies the desired form (file or report or the like) of output. The program reads the list of a form for items selected in the block 906 (912) and the program damps data (914). Binary data are converted into the ASCII format or a non-formatted text (916). The program thereafter displays the output by the form selected in the block 910 to the user (918).
