PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manual lever mechanism for a music box which is free of noise generated between a ratchet and a pawl at the time of a return from a pressing-motion position. SOLUTION: An interlocking arm 48 is restrained by friction in initial rotation of the manual lever 34 and pressed in a square hole 41 with which the operation lever 40 of a pawl part 38 supported with the interlocking arm 48 engages and a feed pawl 50 is swiveled to the position where it engages with the ratchet or the separation position where it completely leaves the ratchet. When a rotary drum is rotated in the sounding direction, the feed pawl 50 is swiveled to the position of engagement with the ratchet 33 in the beginning of the rotation of the manual lever 34 and swiveled to the separation position in the beginning of return rotation.
