The molded body contains compressed, hardened, micro-porous insulating material (1) in one or more coated (2) layers. The molded body has a lamellar-structured surface the lamella of which are produced by long incisions (3) in the surface to a depth of 40 to 90 % of the thickness of the molded body. The lamellas have a square, oblong, acute-angled or rounded cross section and have a base 0.5 to 5 millimeters wide. The lamella are spaced between 4 and 40 millimeters apart.
