The longitudinal beams (2), cross beams (3) and fixing elements are provided with an organic-mineral coating consisting essentially of polysilicates, polymers and corrosion inhibitors. AN ADDITIONAL CLAIM is included for producing such a roof luggage rack. After galvanic zincing and blue-chromating the rack is provided with an organic-mineral coating mentioned above.
