<p>The proposed system for monitoring and suppressing termite infestation comprises a cover (2), that is fixedly situated with respect to a target area in which the termite activity is to be monitored, whereby the cover (2) has at least one opening (4), a first cartridge (12) that can be removably placed into the cover (2), whereby the first cartridge (12) contains an attractant for termites and has at least one opening (14), whereby the opening (14) in the first cartridge (12) is oriented with respect to the opening (4) in the cover (2) so that the respective openings (4, 14) in both the cover (2) and the first cartridge (12) fit at least partially with each other when the first cartridge (12)is put into the cover (2) in a predetermined operating position, further a second cartridge (12 ) that can be removably placed into the cover (2) when the first cartridge (12)is removed from the cover (2), whereby the second cartridge (12 ) contains an attractant with a pesticidal agent and has at least one opening (14 ), whereby the opening (14 ) in the second cartridge (12 ) is oriented with respect to the opening (4) in the cover (2) so that the respective openings (4, 14 ) in both the cover (2) and the second cartridge (12 ) fit at least partially with each other when the second cartridge (12 )is put into the cover (2) in a predetermined operating position, whereby both the first and the second cartridges (12, 12 ) can be optionally and exchangeable put into the cover (2).</p> |
