A propellent nozzle (2) is arranged in a liquid line (7). A mixing tube (4) follows the propellent nozzle so as to form a suction orifice (8) and into which liquid from the vicinity of the pump (1) is adapted to be propelled through a suction orifice by liquid emerging from the propellent nozzle. An inflow orifice (5) is arranged in a casing part of the mixing tube. The casing part penetrating into the liquid surrounding the suction-jet pump.
