PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly hold the position relation between a sound radiation part and the ear and to listen to a receive sound in an excellent state by providing a position recognition part which makes it possible to sense the position of the sound radiation part of a receiver in a wide width shape with a finger tip. SOLUTION: On the back surface 1b of the housing of the receiver provided with the sound radiation part 2 at one end of the top surface 1a of the housing and a sound collection part 3 at the other end part, the position recognition part of a recessed part 4 is formed integrally at the position corresponding to the center part of the sound radiation part 2. A user when using the telephone set grips it from the side of the back surface 1b of the housing 1 and touches the recessed part 4 with a finger tip to recognize the center position of the sound radiation part 2 positioned corresponding to the recessed part 4, so that the user can apply the sound radiation part 2 accurately to nearby the concha cavity. The position recognition part may be not only in recessed, shape but also in a projected shape and also in an arbitrary shape. Further, position recognition may be enabled by a tactile sensation by forming a machined part having a different coefficient of friction and furthermore the recognition can be enabled by guiding the finger tip by forming a groove or forming the position recognition part by sticking a material giving a different tactile sensation from that of the housing.
