PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a camera small and light in weight without the need for changing a visual field and view angle in an optical finder corresponding to a change in a focal distance in a photographing lens in the camera which photographs an object at different foci. SOLUTION: A view angle control means consisting of a microcomputer 10 controls an electronic zoom circuit 25 in response to a focus of a photographing lens mounted on a camera body 2 among plurality of zoom lenses whose foci are variable or photographing lenses 1 whose foci differ, electronic zoom processing is applied to a photographing signal of an object photographed by a photographing means and the processed image is displayed on an LCD monitor 27 with a view angle corresponding to the focus of the photographing lens 1. A photographer confirms a photographing view angle of the photographing lens 1 on the LCD monitor 27 to photograph the object. An optical finder is not required to be provided with a zoom mechanism or a focus switching mechanism to change a visual field and view angle corresponding to pluralities of the photographing lenses 1 and then the camera is made small and the weight is made light.
