PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking training device capable of training always under the same condition of training load characteristic by controlling, in accordance with temperature changes, the amount of compensation for changes in driving losses due to the temperature changes from the start of operation of the walking training device. SOLUTION: In this walking training device including a walkway device 2 having annular belts 12A, 12B forming a walking surface for training, a motor 13A for driving the annular belts 12A, 12B, a speed detection means 15A for detecting the speeds of the annular belts 12A, 12B, and a control means 5 for controlling the training load characteristics of the annular belts 12A, 12B, a characteristic detection means is provided for detecting the driving loss characteristic of the walking training device, and the control means 5 controls the amount of compensation according to changes in driving loss characteristic of the walking training device so that the same condition of training load characteristic is maintained. |
