COLOR FILTER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is the color filter for a liquid crystal display element of an IPS system and is hardly affected by static electricity without the occurrence of the lowering in yield by peeling of conductive thin films formed on the rear surface and a process for production thereof. SOLUTION: This color filter is formed by providing the surface of a transparent substrate 1 with at least a black matrix layer and respective colored layers of three primary colors in the apertures of the black matrices and in part on the black matrices. The color filter described above includes the films 3 which are patterned and formed on the surface of the transparent substrate 1 on the side not formed with the lack matrix layer and the colored layers and have electrical conductivity. This process is for production thereof.
