PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a member which decreases production of toner offset and accelerates to increase the thermal conductivity by forming the structure in such a manner that an anisotropic filler is oriented in an elastomer layer to give the max. heat conduction. SOLUTION: This member has an elastomer layer and an anisotropic filler, and the anisotropic filler is oriented in the elastomer layer to give the max. heat conduction. For example, the filler 4 is oriented in the radial direction 43 so as to enhance the thermal conductivity in the both directions of radial direction 43 and tangential direction 44. By orienting the filler in the radial direction 43, the surface area of the filler 4 facing the conducting direction of heat can be increased. In a normal fusing process, heat flows from the core surface which houses an inner heat source to the outer face of the fusing member so as to fuse the toner on the copy base body. By the orientation of the anisotropic filler 4 in the radial and tangential directions, the heat amt. conducted from the inner heating member of the fusing member to the outer face of the fusing member is increased to give the enhanced thermal conductivity to the max.
