PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sapling-protecting cover produced by a simplified process, not bulky when transporting the cover, and improving the operability of installation by constituting the cover out of a joint for forming a sheet body of a synthetic resin into a cylindrical body, and a shape-keeping body for fitting in the upper and lower ends of the cylindrical body. SOLUTION: This sapling-protecting cover 1 used by covering the cover on a sapling, and opened at the upper and lower ends is constituted of a square sheet body 10 for forming a side face, composed of a synthetic resin, a joint 11 for fitting and connecting both side edges of the sheet body 10 composed of the synthetic resin to provide a cylindrical body, and shape-keeping bodies 12 and 12' to be inserted into the upper and lower ends of the cylindrical body. The sheet body 10 of the synthetic resin has plural concave grooves formed on the surface forming the front surface so as to be parallel to the side edge, and the distance K between the concave grooves, the width W of the concave groove, the depth D of the concave groove, and the thickness T of the sheet body composed of the synthetic resin preferably satisfy the equations K≈W≈2D, T>=1.3D and 0.1 mm<=K<=2.0 mm. The shape of the sapling-protecting cover 1 is preferably the cylindrical one.
