PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container capable of being produced by the reduced number of processes with good productivity without using an adhesive for dry lamination or an AC agent for extrusion lamination without damaging the impact resistance of the paper container and excellent in gas barrier properties and flavor retentivity. SOLUTION: A paper container comprises a laminate having at least a paper layer 2, an inner surface heat seal layer 7 forming the innermost layer, a gas barrier layer 4 and an impact-resistant layer 6. In this case, the gas barrier layer 4 and the impact-resistant layer 6 are bonded by an epoxy-containing resin compsn. layer 5 containing polyolefin (A) with a melt flow rate of 0.1-100 g/10 min and an epoxy compd. (B) having two or more epoxy groups in its molecule and having a mol.wt. of 3,000 or less so that 0.01-5 pts.wt. of the epoxy compd. (B) is added to 100 pts.wt. of the polyolefin (A).
