INJECTION MOLDING DIE AND MANUFACTURE OF FILM INSERT MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the peripheral edge part of a film from coming into contact with a clamp plate and enhance the rate of conforming articles of film insert moldings by constituting the clamp plate for clamping a film with a pictorial pattern or the like at a specified spot around a recessed part for forming a cavity. SOLUTION: First a film 2 with a pictorial pattern is introduced through a position which covers a recessed part 3 for forming a cavity 3 in an injection molding die 1, and the film 2 is held at a specified spot around the recessed part 3 for forming the cavity 3 by closing a clamping member 4 which is openable like a door. After that, the injection molding die 1 is clamped and molten resin is injected into the cavity 3 with the film 2 sandwiched between the parts of the die 1 to integrate the film 2 with moldings in one piece. Next the injection molding die 1 is opened and moldings are unloaded by opening the clamping member 4 like a door. Thus it is possible to prevent film dust from sticking to the recessed part 3 for forming the cavity 3 or the film 2 with a pictorial pattern from coming off the moldings.
